Library locations and opening hours

Hours of Operation: Friday, 21 July 2023

Council’s Libraries will close at 12pm on Friday 21 July 2023. They will be open Saturday 22 July – usual trading hours.

We have three libraries across our shire. All three libraries provide the following services:

Free wifi and internet access
Printing and scanning services
Meeting rooms available for hire and community use
Extensive collection including DVDs, magazines, audio books and e-resources
Weekly story time sessions for pre-schoolers
School holiday activities
Programs such as author talks
Access to book club sets of books
Resources for students of all ages

Bellingen Library

Bellingen’s library is located next to the council buildings in Maam Gaduyung (Meeting Place) Park. The library is a hub of culture hosting a variety of literary events. You can use your library card at any of our branches to borrow items. Library books can also be returned to any of the Bellingen Shire libraries.

Dorrigo Library

Dorrigo Library services the needs of the plateau residents. Stay tuned for the major Dorrigo refurbishment project – bringing you a bigger library. You can use your library card at any of our branches to borrow items. Library books can also be returned to any of the Bellingen Shire libraries.

Urunga Library

Urunga Library services the needs of the seaboard residents and is located in the heart of town. You can use your library card at any of our branches to borrow items. Library books can also be returned to any of the Bellingen Shire libraries.
